One year and one month after the official contract was awarded, the first four of a total of eleven project websites have now gone online.
“The cooperation between our internal and external project teams produced some magnificent results. I was particularly delighted to note everything was achieved right on time and right on budget. From the point of view of corporate strategy, the new websites form the basis for the ongoing enhancement of support to include additional digital services, and to enable the generation of digital turnover”, explained Michael Wagner, CEO of Messezentrum Salzburg GmbH.
The company’s own internal marketing department editorial team now also has access to a user-friendly Content Management System that enables simple data administration. Some matters of great importance moving forwards were central demands expressed in the list of requirements for the new website, particularly search engine optimisation, the seamless integration of Social Media and being able to guarantee barrier-free accessibility and usability!
Michael Glas, CEO of the digital agency pixelart expands, on the issue: “Messezentrum Salzburg’s corporate objectives are made even more achievable by planning and implementing an efficient digital marketing strategy. This makes sense for all the target groups within this extraordinary project. After all, digital marketing has always been well-suited to the task of eliciting the required positive reaction from customers – and to making these reactions quantifiable. So, it’s good for the client and also helps to strengthen the economic base of the entire Salzburg region. It’s a win-win solution.
Target group takes centre stage: Exciting B2B and B2C clients
Salzburg’s exhibition and congress centre, together with the Salzburgarena, aim to use their digital presence to find an optimum means of satisfying a wide range of target group requirements. Everyone can find the information they need very quickly in a minimum of clicks, be it organisers of exhibitions, congresses or events, exhibitors, visitors, press representatives, local residents or people interested for any number of reasons. At the heart of the concept is a clear focus on the customer journey in combination with convenient usability.
Transparent bid procedure
A total of 11 digital agencies from within the region were invited to submit their concepts for our new internet look by the 31.01.2017 in accordance with the 10-page specification profile in the tender documents. The bidding process documents and the evaluation of the individual bids were conducted in cooperation with vierMalvier, an independent consultancy agency based in Salzburg. After the first round of evaluation, three agencies were invited to make a pitch, pixelart being the digital agency that ultimately prevailed with the largest number of points.
